Feed videos, carousels and Reels in one place
Not every Instagram video is a Reel. Feed posts and carousels can hold video too, and they all use slightly different links. ClipSaverHD accepts every public Instagram post link and works out where the video is.
If you paste a carousel that mixes photos and clips, we pick the first video in the post. The file comes back as a standard MP4 that plays on any device and opens in every editor, so you can recut it, archive it or share it outside the app.
It is also handy for keeping an archive of your own work. Instagram can compress, crop or remove posts over time, and having the original MP4 on your drive means you can always repost, recut or show it to a client later.
Frequently asked questions
Which Instagram links are supported?
Links that contain instagram.com/p/ for posts and instagram.com/reel/ for Reels. Copy them from the share menu on any public post.
What happens with a carousel post?
ClipSaverHD downloads the first video in the carousel. Photo-only posts have no video to save.
Can I download Instagram Stories?
Not at the moment. Stories disappear after a day and need a login to view, so they are not supported.
Is there a limit on video length?
Videos up to 30 minutes are supported, which covers almost every post and Reel.
Where does the file go on my computer?
Your browser saves it to your usual Downloads folder with the video title in the file name.
Can I save only the audio from an Instagram video?
Yes. After pasting the link, tap Audio · MP3 instead of the video button to keep just the sound.
