Why your TikTok downloads have a watermark
When you tap Save video inside TikTok, the app burns a moving logo and your username into the file. That is fine for sending to a friend, but it looks out of place when you repost the same clip on Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, and other platforms tend to show watermarked videos to fewer people.
ClipSaverHD takes a different route. It asks TikTok for the version its own player streams, which never had the overlay added, and gives you that file as a standard MP4 that plays on every phone, laptop and editing app. Nothing is cropped or blurred to hide a logo, because there is no logo to hide.
Frequently asked questions
How do I copy a TikTok link?
Open the video, tap the Share arrow, then tap Copy link. Short links that start with vm.tiktok.com or vt.tiktok.com work just as well as full links.
Why does TikTok’s own Save button add a watermark?
TikTok adds its logo and the creator’s username to every file saved through the app. We fetch the playback version instead, which never had the overlay.
What quality will I get?
The sharpest version TikTok serves that plays everywhere, usually 720p or 1080p depending on how the video was uploaded.
Can I download TikTok photo slideshows?
Not yet. Photo mode posts do not contain a video file, so for now only regular video posts can be saved.
Can I paste text copied from the TikTok share sheet?
Yes. If the copied text includes a caption or hashtags around the link, ClipSaverHD finds the link inside it for you.
